A friend on FA showed me a photo of a pair of caterpillars on a branch and one of them was green and the other was orange and I really wanted to make characters of them so I did.

I wish I could remember what kind of caterpillars they were bLUH. uH NEVERMIND I figured out they are death's head moth caterpillars.

It's a Czech children's story (also under the title "Adventures of Vixen Sharp-Ears), and, apparently, an opera. The edition I own is from the 70s and is illustrated by Maurice Sendak.
