Edited to include a true color image of the internal organs.
I would highly suggest you look at this submission here, especially its description and comments, before you examine this one here in any detail:
Here are some sorta rough drafts for the internal organs of Tezcatli, males here since I have yet to draw how the females look. Again I used our good buddy Caz as a standard model of sorts.
I'm really too tired to type anything about their morphology here since I already have a huge wall of text on the other picture I mentioned and linked above.
hmmm, only two things i can think to ask about 1) How much room is there for the lungs to expand? I got the impression their outer shell had limited flexibility, which means that there may not be a lot of room for expansion? 2) Without intestines, animals would generally be very ineffective at drawing nutrients from their food. How does theirs work?
Other than that, the design is awesome! Especially the oral reproduction
HEY I MANAGED TO THINK OF MORE QUESTIONS I hope that is okay.
Do they molt? If they do, how often? If not, how does the exoskeleton get bigger? Can they regenerate limbs? (I'm assuming this is definitely a no because of Caz?) Does the phosphorous bulb have any real purpose? How does it work? What kind of galaxy do they live in? Where in that galaxy? Do they use lots of books? Do they have big-ass libraries? Or do they rely more on technology for such things? Do they have a place where they collectively store all of their knowledge? Wow that is not a lot I tried.
Also I was slinking around the comments of the other picture as I was looking for my comment but decided fuck that I am going to comment on this one instead. Anyways I saw that you said you had created new anatomy for these guys? Did you work on their brains more? 'Cause wow I am freaking obsessed over brains and I would love to see what you did for these guys' brains, in more detail.
They do not molt, but growth can be seen as similar to trees in that the chitin will layer up over time and have rings visible if bisected.
They cannot regenerate body parts.
The tail bulb is an older part of them that may have something to do with communication. It works like a firefly's.
They live in the same galaxy as us, just very far away.
They have tons of books, both on holographic screens as well as lengthy scrolls. Typically depends on the age of the book on whether it is holo-screened or textile.
They keep a vaulted library database somewhere below one of the outer cities. Like the Library of Congress only bigger. And underground.
You did it.
UHHH I am still working on the second draft of the internal organs.
have you read about some of the lakefish in northern africa that keep their eggs in their mouths? seems a little like that except well... the fetus comes out from what i read of you post
Oh, African cichlids? I used to breed those actually. The mamas were really good about taking care of their young, whenever any of them sensed danger the babies would flee back into her mouth. Danger being whenever anyone walked by the tank.
:000 really?? I didn't know you could breed them! ....to be honest I only know about them from books and don't know what they look like or their size u _ù that's cool! may I ask how you got started and what happened? if it's a tender sunbelt I understand : x

Also, the answers to your questions are probably here anyways: [link]
