Um, doodles of Ray Jay from today at school.

Working on them a bit I guess.

I am making them a new reference sheet for 2012.

I'm actually not really changing anything about Ray Jay, character-wise and such.

The only real thing I am officially changing is their gender, which will now be set to none.

So when it comes to pronouns, any will work, so long as it is used respectfully towards them.

To those of you guys who've been around me, and to an extent, Ray Jay as a character, I do not mind if you still call them a girl still. If that makes you comfortable hahah.

But yeah! I'm really excited to get working on their ref.

The gender thing makes sense. I mean apart from plumage color most folk can't tell at first sight if a bird is a guy or a girl. I dig that its ambigous and homg, adorable speckled crotch fluff, looks like a hairy blueberry muffin, ahahaha

I quite enjoy having their character ambiguous, even if they already were pretty androgynous when they still had a sex and gender haha.

Personally, it never felt quite right to use gender-specific pronouns for Ray Jay. I'd usually just say their name instead.

Hahah I hear ya there bro.

Some people used to mistake them for a male when they were still female, and since I've kind of been losing the ability to be offended by that(even when applied to myself), I'm just letting it be a grab bag.

Oh cool! SO, it isnt disrespectful to call.. them... a them? i almost feel bad, but if it isnt (and i dont mean it) disrespectful, i shall call them a them :D because i dont really want to call them a she if they arent one.....

Well like I said, any pronoun works! I don't really mind any longer. You could call Ray Jay them, he, she, or any other pronoun that happens to exist.
